Mitchell Freeway Joondalup

Winner of the International Association of Public Participation Australasia (IAP2) Core Values Award 2007, the $170 million Mitchell Freeway Extension project has set a new model for community relations on major government infrastructure developments.

Creative Nature has been instrumental in supporting the project which is being undertaken by leading Australian construction company Macmahon on behalf of Main Roads Western Australia.

Activities include developing community relations strategies, implementing external stakeholder communications, managing production schedules and responding to issues in support of the client's on-site team.

The communications programme incorporates a wide range of design and production services including an interactive website, shopping centre displays, workforce communications, an Indigenous recruitment programme and regular newsletters, advertisements and direct mail materials.
